?That restraint wasn?t an aesthetic choice, but an obstacle, during this show, which drew almost exclusively from the new album. By and large, these new songs are sturdy though not remarkable. The simple nostalgia of ?Inglewood,? the tired capitulation of ?Perfect Word,? the trite metaphor of ?Heaven?: they all faded quickly. Even ?A Sleep With No Dreaming,? one of the album?s highlights ? ?I can?t help but love you/You know how I am/You?re the only dream I understand? ? had all of its passion smoothed flat.?
