Songs Inspired by Literature

We all need to be inspired. Inspiration comes in all shapes and forms; it may arise from a conversation with a good friend, spending a beautiful day in the park, looking at a painting, or after watching a film. For many musicians, inspiration comes from poetry, short stories and/or novels. Let's take a look at prominent singer-songwriters whose songs have been inspired by literary works.

This Day in Music History: 1759 - George Frideric Handel died in London. Considered the creator of the English oratorio, he was one of the important composers of the late Baroque period.
