It's no secret that we're into Dublin's The Mighty Stef around here. He's been a part of our SXSW ritual for a few years now, we've caught him in Detroit, and he was a part of our two-week celebration of Irish music in Detroit (I even put the band up at my house). For the sake of journalistic integrity, I'll go so far as to say that I consider him and his bandmates to be friends, but I won't let that reduce the amount of praise I have for this band.
